Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to be in the top JV girls or even varsity for races this year.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Stay in good shape and run for as long as I can! Run forever!  And I want to work my way up to a half marathon eventually.

Personal:

I am entering my junior year at Pine View High and am on the Pine View Cross Country team.  I started running XC in the summer before my freshman year.  I missed my sophomore XC season because of injury.  I had surgery on my foot so it was broken for a long while.  It was pretty sad because I love to run!  I am so excited for this season!

At cross country we did the 30/30 workout and I had to do 90 meters.  I got to 35 sets!! (:  I felt really good about it.  90 meters seemed pretty easy for me to hit, so it wasn't too hard. 

The kids club had an awesome race day!  :D  I'm glad I get to help coach.

Today at cross country we did an easy grass run.  Yay! ha (: I ran 2 miles and 1 mile of striders.  I wasn't too sore from yesterday's workout.

Today I ran one loop with the hard push up the Washington parkway.  I ran with the top girls (like Rachel, Mia, Liz, and Coach Roberts and all of them) the whole way until the last part up the hill!!  :D Then I caught up again at the top and we all ran down together. 

I felt really good about how I ran with them the whole way there.  I look up to them and want to be as fast as they are one day.  Thanks girls for always giving me a goal to work towards and being good examples for me.

Missed practice this morning because I'm out of town.  I ran 3.5 miles at the South Davis Recreation Center in Bountiful.  Their Rec Center is WAY better than ours in St. George.  Just sayin.  It's pretty snazzy.

Total Mileage today:  3.5 miles

At practice I got my time from the 15 minute vVO2 test and went up to the dirt mile to do 1000 repeats.  My goal time was 6:47.  The first time I got 5:01 so I tried to slow it way down.  The next one I got 5:36 (still like a minute too fast.) Then the last one I got 5:51.

I ran too fast but that's alright I guess.  It seems like a lot of people were going really fast for some reason.  It was a pretty easy workout even though it was SO hot!!!  I think it was up in the millions and billions degrees.

Total Mileage today:  4.5 miles

Today we did a 3 mile easy grass run and 1 mile of striders.  I ran the first 2 miles with Coach Roberts and them.  Then I did all the striders with them. Good run today.

Kids club was great besides the heat.  I got to take 9 little girls to the bathroom today.  It was a blast (: haha

Total mileage today:  4.5 miles

30/30 workout.  I got 4 more sets than last time! Woo Hoo!! :D Thanks Chancie for running with me.  You helped me a lot!!! and I hope I helped you too. :)

Oh and on my walk home I saw Coach Roberts drive by!  He stopped at Baggs' house which is right on my street.  Haha small world

Ali and I were the only girls that ran at practice today.  It was weird without everybody else.

I ran my 5 miles today!!  By myself :/  But that's alright.  I went to the doctor this morning so that's why I missed practice.  I just looked at the workout blog and realized I was only supposed to do 4 :) oops aha

In the morning did 3 k repeats and with the run up there and back it = 4.5 miles.  In the afternoon I ran an easy 3 to Arctic Circle with Liz, Ali, and Megan.  The run in the morning is pretty easy going but running in the hot afternoon is just bleh.  It was like 102 degrees!

Total Mileage today:  7.5 miles

3 miles easy grass run w/striders.  I was really tired today.  I probably could've run better. Slacked a little bit.  My right calf was sore.  I'm going to stretch better.

Megan and I were the only ones with our group at kid's club and it was hard.  We usually have 4 more people with us but they were all gone.  Those little girls are crazy! Haha  :D  I love them!!

Total Mileage Today:  4 miles 

30/30 workout again.  My recovery jogs were better this time which made it a better workout.  I got 30 sets which is less than last time but I ran a farther distance.  Felt good about it.  I think I'm improving a lot and getting back in good shape again.

Total Mileage today: 5 miles 

5 miles this morning down into hell's hole.  We did 5x10 sec bounders and 5x10 sec hill sprints.  It was pretty funny at first when we did the bounders a lot of the girls were skipping. :) haha  We finally figured it out though.  Running up the hill was killer.  I walked up a lot of it.  After that the run back was pretty nice.  It feels so good after finishing a run like that.

Ran 3 miles and did weights this afternoon.  I think I'm getting buffer!! :D

First day running since I've been sick.  Haven't run in (it seems like) forever!!  Ran about 3 miles.  My hips kind of hurt and I'm pretty stiff.  I stretched really good though.

Ran 2.5 miles today! Felt great

Ran 2.5 miles today. I ran with Macey for a mile and it was way fun.  I missed cross country when I was sick.  I forgot how much I loved it.  Had a great run today.

Ran 4.5 miles today.  Kids Club was fun.  I'm feeling good now.  I'm just out of shape and I need to catch up again.

Today I ran a total of 5 miles.  The time trial was pretty hard because i haven't run too hard since I was sick.  I think I did alright though.  

Today I did a total of 5.5 miles with 2 mile tempo.  I ran with Maquel and Carli.  Maquel really pushed me on the tempo and it felt really good once we finished.  This was a long run and its one that when you finish you feel so accomplished.  Great run today!

Didn't make it to practice this morning. :(  So I just ran by myself later in the day.  I went 3 miles and ran up some hills.

This morning I did 6x1000 with the warm and cool.  My times were way faster than they were supposed to be.  But it felt good. After morning practice Macey gave me some pixie sticks!! :D Yay! I love candy...

In the afternoon Carli and I ran to Arctic Circle together.  She had to tie her shoes twice (: haha. It was fun.  Then weights and plios.  Good day today.

Total mileage today:  8.25 miles

Race Day at Cedar! I did pretty well for me I think.  I got around the same time I got last year at this race.

Total mileage today:  8 miles

Ran an easy 3 today to hot nails.  It was super hot.  I was dizzy a bit so I walked for a minute.  I didn't feel to good so I didn't run too fast.

Total mileage today:  3.5 miles

Didn't feel too good today.  Only ran the warm up and had to head home.
