I want to be in the top JV girls or even varsity for races this year.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Stay in good shape and run for as long as I can! Run forever!  And I want to work my way up to a half marathon eventually.

Personal:

I am entering my junior year at Pine View High and am on the Pine View Cross Country team.  I started running XC in the summer before my freshman year.  I missed my sophomore XC season because of injury.  I had surgery on my foot so it was broken for a long while.  It was pretty sad because I love to run!  I am so excited for this season!

FIrst time I've ran since surgery!!  So excited to start working up again to where I was.  Felt good and my foot didn't hardly even hurt.

Mileage:  1 mile

One mile again today.  Going good so far.

Another mile and weights.  I am pretty sore already.  Getting back in shape again is going to be rough.

First day of Cross!  Nice barefoot half mile warm up. Up to Maverick for 30 minutes total. That reminds me I need a watch. Anyways, it felt great to run with the girls again.  Thanks to Macey and Kaelie for running with me!(:  I love running!! After missing last year's season and track because of my broken foot I can't wait to get into this year and work harder than ever.  It's going to be awesome!

Mileage:  3.5 miles

Started with a half mile barefoot grass warm up. I felt extra tired today for some reason.  We ran the tortuoise trail run in the desert.  I am not quite sure how far i went but my estimate is about 3. Ran with Josh on the way back.  He helped push me along! Thanks to him I think I did better on the way back then the way out. Then add another half mile with the running club which was a blast!  I was with the 5th and 6th grade boys.  Had fun with the relay race and capture the flag.  Great day!  Could do better staying with Coach Rob and them.  I will work harder to do that!!

Awesome run today!!  I loved the firestation loop. Thanks for running with me Macey!!(:  About 3.5 miles plus a little to end up with 35 minutes. Plus the barefoot grass half mile warm up.  My right calf is pretty sore.  I've been stretching it a lot, rolling it out, and putting icy hot on it. Hopefully it'll get better soon.  Feeling great other than that.  Going to get my physical today...woo.

Barefoot grass half mile warm up with barefoot grass 30 minute run today.  Easy day at the baseball field with Macey most of the time.  Felt great!  My calf still hurts.  Got 16 laps at the field so that's about 4 miles.  I'm excited for tomorrow's run at the park!

Half mile barefoot grass warm up. Long run in the fields today.  Felt good. Ended up being 38 minutes even though I was trying for 35.  Went a little over buts that's okay.  I liked the kick at the end.  Felt good to push it a little more.

Half mile barefoot grass warmup.  37 minute run with 10 minute tempo.  Went up to the dirt mile. Didn't feel too great today.  Not my best run.  Got 4 miles in.  Could've been better.

Nice slow easy day!  Needed the recovery.  Started to do doubles this week.

7am-Half mile barefoot grass warm up. 25 minute run. 3 miles.  Took it pretty easy today.  Recovery day.  Kids club and ultimate was fun today with the team!

8pm-25 min run, 3.35 miles. Ran to the water wheel park in the middle of town from my house tonight.  Felt nice and wasn't too scorching luckily.

Half mile barefoot grass warm up. 35 minute run today with 20 of it on grass.  Felt like I stayed closer to coach for the first 15 minutes really well.  The barefoot grass felt great on the baseball field.

.5 mile barefoot grass warm up.  40 minutes with 6 minute strong and 3 minute recovery x3.  5 miles total.  Could've ran harder on the second but then I stayed with Macey and Annelise and did well.  Hard workout today! Ready for more.

Ran up in Pine Valley with Rachybaby Lusk and Kayla Hammy because we were at Youth Conference up there.  It was a nice 30 minute run. Probably got in at least 3 or 3.5 I don't know maybe even 4.  Anyways it was really cool to run up there.  We were up early enough to watch the sunrise and it was beautiful!  Wish we could always run up there.

pm-Ran a 20 min run with Gavin around the town! He helped pushed me pretty hard up the hills. Felt good. My foot hurts a little. Did about a 7:42 pace. About 2.25 miles. Fun run!

Great run today!  .5 mile barefoot grass warm up. Went up to the dirt mile. 35 minutes with 10 tempo.  I felt like I really pushed it and it was awesome!

Half mile barefoot grass warm up. Easy 30 min run up tortuoise trail. Got farther than last time I ran this one!! Progress is good. I sprinted in the relay race for kids club and it was fun. My hips were a little hurting ish. I stretched though. I was shaky during kids club a little so maybe on Tuesdays I should bring a snack for after the run. Fun day today! Miss Macey though.

AM-1.5 mile warm up. Speed intervals. 40 minutes today. I stayed with varsity girls for the mile warm up.  I ran with them for awhile at the beginning of the work out.  But fell behind after awhile.  I ran with Kaelie and I think we did well! We finished the last 3 minute interval with the varsity girls and it was tough!  They are speedy haha. I could've done better but I am still trying to catch up with everybody...Missing a season for a broken foot will do that to ya...Anyways!  Hard workout today!  Feeliing like I'm getting better.  Also I made a fruit/spinach/protein smootie! I love those.

PM-Ran Sandbergs with Alli, Josie, Irene, and Ellie.  Great run!  Super hot out but we're still alive haha(:  I felt like I stayed with them really well and that's good for me!  Getting stronger.

40 minute run at Sullivan Park around Shinobe Kibe today! Stayed with varsity the whole way until the very end!! Great run.

Weekly MIleage: 21 Minutes: 175

45 minutes with 15 tempo. 5 miles today. Felt pretty good. Stayed with Carli and them for half the tempo then fell back a little. It was alright. I pushed pretty good I think. I'll try to stay with longer next Monday for tempo. Keep getting a little bit better every time.

SICK today):  Missed the 6 minute test and race day for kid's club!! Worst day to miss...so sad):

Nice easy 5 miler today with 20 minutes of it on grass.  Had a fun time running with the girls!  I am glad I stayed with a group the whole time.  We did a fun loop and went on a little adventure through Turner Turf farm..sshhh don't tell.  And the grass felt great! Legs feel good.

Killer long run!!! 5.5 miles today. Stayed with the group for a good couple miles then fell back up those hills. Ran with Macey and Annelise. On the way back when Nicole and Meskerem caught up for the strong finish with about 8 minutes left or so I went with them and it was awesome! Really strong finish. We were cruisin! Felt like a winner ahah Worked really hard today.

If you're counting the warm-up, you probably got another 1/4 or 1/2 mile. If you care. It really is secondary to the effort you're putting in right now. You are really working hard and it shows.

I mapped it on mapmyrun and it was about 5 on the run for how far I went. Are ya sure? I might've did it wrong though. I don't know.

If you mapped it,you're good. I wasn't sure where you turned around. We just ended up farther than I would have thought when I mapped it out on mapmyrun. It was cool that it even had the Grapevine road on there.

Cruise Intervals today with Kaelie and Macey!  Those are the worst haha just kidding they aren't that bad.  We went for 45 minutes total and 4.5 miles about total this morning.  The workout was good I think.  I'm super sore!

Camping this weekend! Did my 30 minute run on the mountain!  It was hard because I felt like there was no air!! haha high altitude is rough.  Anyways it was beautiful up there. Nice easy run.

Easy 3 miler up to dirt mile and back.  Had to go home earlier today so didn't do all I was supposed to.  Just an easy 30 minutes and I had to go.

i did 10 warm, 10 of 30/30s and 10 cool.  I got in 5 miles today counting all that and kids club.  I was super tired today. Felt like I should've done more on the 30/30s but I couldn't push hard enough..roughish day.

AM-Today was really hard. I was going to quit after the first set of 1 2 3 2 1 but Anna got me to go again. After I was all lightheaded and thought I was going to pass out. I think I might be a little sick because this week has been really hard and I feel like it's harder to breathe. I don't know. I'm going to buy some good energy bars or something to eat awhile before I run.

AM-40 minE (4.5 miles) Firestation with Alli! Good run but I had to go around Urie loop to get all my time in but that's okay. Felt good today.

PM-30 minE We met at the Abel's house with about 10 kids on the team. It was super fun! We ran around Shinobe Kibe and then had yummy food and swam. Fun day! Ran with Irene and Vanessa. She is doing great for being pretty new!

Sorry I haven't been recording on here so much. Today was a 45 minute run with 8 striders.  Good day. I took it easy because I'm just coming back from being sick for a week.
