Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to be in the top JV girls or even varsity for races this year.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Stay in good shape and run for as long as I can! Run forever!  And I want to work my way up to a half marathon eventually.

Personal:

I am entering my junior year at Pine View High and am on the Pine View Cross Country team.  I started running XC in the summer before my freshman year.  I missed my sophomore XC season because of injury.  I had surgery on my foot so it was broken for a long while.  It was pretty sad because I love to run!  I am so excited for this season!

At practice I got my time from the 15 minute vVO2 test and went up to the dirt mile to do 1000 repeats.  My goal time was 6:47.  The first time I got 5:01 so I tried to slow it way down.  The next one I got 5:36 (still like a minute too fast.) Then the last one I got 5:51.

I ran too fast but that's alright I guess.  It seems like a lot of people were going really fast for some reason.  It was a pretty easy workout even though it was SO hot!!!  I think it was up in the millions and billions degrees.

Total Mileage today:  4.5 miles

Today we did a 3 mile easy grass run and 1 mile of striders.  I ran the first 2 miles with Coach Roberts and them.  Then I did all the striders with them. Good run today.

Kids club was great besides the heat.  I got to take 9 little girls to the bathroom today.  It was a blast (: haha

30/30 workout.  I got 4 more sets than last time! Woo Hoo!! :D Thanks Chancie for running with me.  You helped me a lot!!! and I hope I helped you too. :)

Oh and on my walk home I saw Coach Roberts drive by!  He stopped at Baggs' house which is right on my street.  Haha small world

Ali and I were the only girls that ran at practice today.  It was weird without everybody else.

I ran my 5 miles today!!  By myself :/  But that's alright.  I went to the doctor this morning so that's why I missed practice.  I just looked at the workout blog and realized I was only supposed to do 4 :) oops aha

In the morning did 3 k repeats and with the run up there and back it = 4.5 miles.  In the afternoon I ran an easy 3 to Arctic Circle with Liz, Ali, and Megan.  The run in the morning is pretty easy going but running in the hot afternoon is just bleh.  It was like 102 degrees!

3 miles easy grass run w/striders.  I was really tired today.  I probably could've run better. Slacked a little bit.  My right calf was sore.  I'm going to stretch better.

Megan and I were the only ones with our group at kid's club and it was hard.  We usually have 4 more people with us but they were all gone.  Those little girls are crazy! Haha  :D  I love them!!

30/30 workout again.  My recovery jogs were better this time which made it a better workout.  I got 30 sets which is less than last time but I ran a farther distance.  Felt good about it.  I think I'm improving a lot and getting back in good shape again.

5 miles this morning down into hell's hole.  We did 5x10 sec bounders and 5x10 sec hill sprints.  It was pretty funny at first when we did the bounders a lot of the girls were skipping. :) haha  We finally figured it out though.  Running up the hill was killer.  I walked up a lot of it.  After that the run back was pretty nice.  It feels so good after finishing a run like that.

Ran 3 miles and did weights this afternoon.  I think I'm getting buffer!! :D
